Ultimately, Joe McCarthy was using weak evidence to accuse people of being communist. Through his televised questioning of the army, many of whom were war heroes, the public saw the mean-spiritedness of McCarthy’s campaign. Polls showed the American people thought McCarthy devious in his attack of the army. Fed up, McCarthy’s colleagues censured him for dishonoring the Senate, and the hearings came to a close.

Why does the Klan have resurgence on popularity in the early 1900s
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

Although the KKK had reemerged in the South in 1915, it wasn’t until after the end of World War I that the organization experienced a national resurgence. Membership in the KKK skyrocketed from a few thousand to over 100,000 in a mere ten months.

Squared Local chapters of the KKK sprang up all over the country, and by the 1920s, it had become a truly national organization, with a formidable presence not just in the South, but in New England, the Midwest, and all across the northern United States.

Based on linguistic and archaeological evidence, experts trace the early origins of the Indo-Aryans to ____________________ Ques
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

The answer is Nomadic pastoralists who lived on the steppe lands of southern Russia.

Explanation:

According to the Kurgan theory—which is the most popularly accepted theory regarding the early origins of the Indo-Aryans—the Indo-Aryans originated as a result of their activities as nomadic pastoralists who domesticated their horses and used chariots to expand their regions (as early as 3000 BCE) until they lived throughout the steppe Iands of then Eastern Europe; this region was around Southern Russia which came into existence hundreds of centuries later.
