The optimality condition in the consumer's choice between two goods is the following

MRS_{x,y}= \frac{MgU_x}{MgU_y} = \frac{P_x}{P_y}

The ratio of the marginal utilities is called the Marginal Rate of Substitution between goods x and y, and it arises from the preferences of the consumer towards the two goods. The MRS establishes the rate at which this consumer can give up a certain quantity of good x in exchange for another amount good y, while maintaining the same level of utility (it establishes the units of good x that would satisfy the consumer if he had to reject a certain number of units of y, given his personal preferences).

When MRS is equaled to the price ratio, it allows to calculate the bundle of goods x and y, that provides the maximum utility to this consumer given the market prices of x and y, which means that the solution provides the highest-utility bundle that he can afford.

If the rule does not hold, the choice might be either suboptimal or impossible. When the result is suboptimal, the consumer acquires a bundle that he can afford but that is not the one yielding the maximum utility. If the result obtained is impossible, the consumer cannot afford the bundle, even tough it yields very high utility to him.

The issue that finally touched off the movement toward the Constitutional Convention was A) control of public lands. B) control
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

Option B: Control of commerce.

Explanation:

Before the Constitutional Convention and the creation of the Constitution of the United States, the recently independent states were having issues controlling and regulating national and international commerce.

Some states would compete with others to gain economic advantage, and the Confederation lacked to power to enforce regulatory laws to control and set rates, or coordinate retaliatory trade policies with foreign countries.

This was a major problem at the time that was getting out of hand. Although the purpose of the constitutional convention was to revise the laws of the current governments, the people who proposed it had something else in mind; a complete remake of the government system, the creation of a Federal Court, and with it, the power to enforce laws through all the states.

During the convention, George Washington was elected president of the convention.

Lelu [443]

Answer:

Vote centers

Explanation:

In 2005, the Texas legislature approved county-level decisions to move from traditional, neighborhood precinct polls to vote centers. All voters in counties that allow it can vote in these centers in the general election, regardless of their address, so they can choose the most convenient location.

Vote centers are created to improve the voter experience and are an alternative to traditional, neighborhood based precincts centers. This centers combines multiple precincts which allows voters to choose at which location they wish to vote at.

Aleks04 [339]
Signs of aging for women in their 40s include wrinkled and dry skin (due to loss of elasticity and volume), a bigger midsection (due to a slower metabolism), and gray hair (as the production of melanin-making cells - the cells that give pigment to hair - slows).
