They were all on the outskirt of the two sides and every one of them had motivations to go both routes in the contention.
Maryland was a slave state and from multiple points of view held to an indistinguishable thoughts from the Confederates. The most compelling motivation that they went poorly them is on the grounds that the US government ensured there were a lot of troops there, so Washington DC wasn't cut off amidst Confederate land.
Both Missouri and Kentucky had their own smaller than expected form of the Civil War going, where neighbors battled with neighbors.

Before 1920 women in America could not ? Apex
nataly862011 [7]

Before 1920, women in America could not VOTE.

The first women's suffrage movement occurred in 1848, but it wasn't until 1920 that the 19th Amendment was ratified. The amendment gave women the right to vote in the United States of America. At first, there was strong opposition to it from U.S sectors (such as brewers and distillers) since they believed women would vote for the prohibition of alcoholic beverages and elimination of child labour.

How did the KKK clan attempt to thwart
Beconstruction ? List two was.
ELEN [110]

Answer:

The KKK was formed as a social group in Tennessee in 1866. The name probably came from the Greek word kuklos, meaning "circle."

Ku Klux Klan

Ku Klux Klan

Klan was an alliterative version of "clan," thus Ku Klux Klan suggested a circle, or band, of brothers. With the passage of the Military Reconstruction Acts in March 1867, and the prospect of freedmen voting in the South, the Klan became a political organization. Former Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest probably served as the Grand Wizard, or overall leader, of the Klan and certainly played a significant role in its organized spread in early 1868.
