Answer:

157 square yards.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Width of walk around a circular swimming pool = 2 yard

The diameter of the pool = 23 yard

Question asked:

What is the area of the walk ?

Solution:

<em>To find area of walk, we will first calculate area of the pool and then combined area of pool and walk then after we will subtract the area of pool from combined area.</em>

The diameter of the pool = 23 yard

Radius of the pool = \frac{diameter }{2}=\frac{23}{2} =11.5\ yard

Area\ of\ circle=\pi r^{2}

                       =3.14\times(11.5)^{2} \\=3.14\times11.5\times11.5=415.265\ square\ yard

<u>As width of walk around a circular swimming pool is 2 yard :</u>

New radius will be = 11.5 + 2 = 13.5 yard

Combined\  area =\pi r^{2} \\

                         =3.14\times13.5\times13.5=572.265\ square\ yard

Now, area of the walk = Combined area of pool and walk - Area of the pool

                                     = 572.265 - 415.265

                                     = 157 square yards

Therefore, area of the walk is 157 square yards.

Answer: The area of the walk is 157 yds²

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the walk = total area of the swimming pool and the walk - area of the swimming pool.

The formula for determining the area of a circle is expressed as

Area = πr²

Where

r represents the radius of the circle.

π is a constant whose value is 3.14

Considering the swimming pool,

Diameter = 23 yds

Radius = diameter/2 = 23/2 = 11.5 yds

Area = 3.14 × 11.5² = 415.265 yds²

Considering the swimming pool and the walk,

Radius = 11.5 + 2 = 13.5 yds

Area = 3.14 × 13.5² = 572.265 yds²

Therefore, area of the walk is

572.265 - 415.265 = 157 yds²

If the perimeter of Triangle XYZ is 56 cm, what is the perimeter of Triangle ABC?
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

28 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Triangle ABC is obtained by joining the mid points of the sides of triangle XYZ.

So, perimeter of triangle ABC will be equal to half of the perimeter of triangle XYZ.

P(\triangle ABC) = \frac{1}{2} \times P(\triangle XYZ)

P(\triangle ABC) = \frac{1}{2} \times 56

P(\triangle ABC) = 28\: cm

Help me please with this<br> Simplify.<br><br> 5a-12a
Oduvanchick [21]
It helps to imagine the variable a sort of as a unit. Like with 5 minus 12 lemons, it has no bearings on the addition/subtraction here.

Factor out a and subtract.

5a-12a \\ (5-12)a \\ \boxed{-7a}

Find the measure of &lt; AED for m &lt; BEC = 96
Strike441 [17]
I wish you would of put a picture but with what you gave me. if the angle is a straight line then you would just set it up like 96+x=180 bc a straight line ='s 180 and den subtract 96 from 180 which is 84 so x would = 84 if the angle is a supp. angle but til there's not a picture this might be wrong.
But i hope this helps have a nice nite!
