Most likely not. I'm assuming you mean alliances as in people having allies as countries. So if there had not been alliances between countries, there would not have ended up being a World War because of the fact that it would have stayed between those two countries. It would have been a catastrophe for the throne but it would have stayed between Austria and Bosnia and not have involved the other countries. It may have made a war between those countries and others who thought what happened was right or wrong (as in taking sides) but since they had allies it was more or less required that Austria-Hungary's allies joined in and Bosnia's allies joined on their side to fight something that should've not even happened in the first place.

What was an effect of the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I?
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

The right answer is B.

Explanation:

Post-WWI Germans had the feeling the Versailles peace agreement and its conditions were unfair. There was a sense in many people that Germany had not been delivered a crushing blow in the front, withdrawal of its forces was orderly. The war reparations imposed on Germany were seen as excessive and unjust. Together with a terrible economic situation - inflation, high unemployment rate, pauperization -, those feelings contributed to the rise of the Nazis who shrewdly exploited the insatisfaction of German masses in the 1930s.
