Hello!

Because the three sides of the triangle have equal lengths, we can confirm that the image above represents an equilateral triangle. An equilateral triangle is a triangle whose three sides are the same length and whose three angles are the same measure. We know that the three angles of a triangle must always add to a sum of 180 degrees. With this knowledge, we can create the following equation (let “x” represent the measure of each angle):

x + x + x = 180

Combine like terms:

3x = 180

Divide both sides fo the equation by 3:

x = 60

We have now proven that all three angles of ΔABC have a measure of 60 degrees. Therfore, ∠C must have a measure of 60 degrees.

I hope this helps!

11. You expect to have the given amount in an account with the given terms. Find how much you can withdraw periodically in order
Orlov [11]

This is a question on Present Value of Annuity and we seek the periodic withdrawal.

\begin{gathered} F\text{VA}=\text{PMT(}\frac{(1+\frac{i}{m})^{nm}-1}{\frac{i}{m}}) \\ \text{Therefore, PMT=}\frac{FVA}{(\frac{(1+\frac{i}{m})^{nm}-1}{\frac{i}{m}})} \end{gathered}

where:

FVA = Future value of annuity

PMT = Periodic Withdrawal

i = interest/discount rate

n = no of years

m = no of compundings per interest period

\text{PMT=}\frac{300000}{(\frac{(1+\frac{0.0445}{365})^{22\times365}-1}{\frac{0.0445}{365}})}=22.01

PMT = $22.01

The graph represents the number y of attendees to a market research conference after x years.
Volgvan

Ok, I hope im right. (Others correct me if im not. But when I worked out this problem I got y is approximatly 4,882 attendees after 6 years.

Gathering info from the graph I created a table

(0,20) , (1,30) , (2,45), ...

I found the difference between the points listed. For example, 30÷20 is 1.5. So, each point is multiplied times 1.5 to continue the sequence.

Use the equation: y=a(1+r)^t

Remember what each variable stands for. That way you can plug in the correct information

Continuing..

y=a(1+r)^t

y=20(1+1.5)^t ; combine like terms

y=20(2.5)^t

b) Plug in the # of years. 6 in our case, everywhere you see a t

y=20(2.5)^6

y is approximately equal to 4882.8125

Round because we can only have whole numbers. we're talking about people.

I hope I got this right. But, if not, I tried
