In the given passage from "Lady Liberty", the whole passage deals with how the speaker views the Statue of Liberty and its condition. The <em>"sagging wooden stairs"</em> pose a threat to the well being of the visitors but even then, people still climbed up the stairs to get to the top. So, <u>an objective summary of the given passage will show how, despite the dangerous conditions of the monument, many people including the narrator, went ahead to climb to the top.</u>
