If H and S represent the calorie content of hamburgers and sodas, respectively, then you have
.. 5H +2S = 1790
.. 2H +3S = 1178

By Cramer's rule, (Google it)
.. H = (2*1178 -3*1790)/(2*2 -3*5) = -3014/-11 = 274
.. S = (1790*2 -1178*5)/-11 = -2310/-11 = 210

There are 274 calories in a hamburger; 210 calories in a soda.

_____
Actually, the above solution is found using the methods of Vedic mathematics. The formula for
.. ax +by =c
.. dx +ey = f
is
.. x = (bf -ec)/(bd -ae) . . . . . . . the products are a simple crossing pattern
.. y = (cd -fa)/(same denominator)

The actual Cramer's Rule uses the negative of both numerator and denominator, that is (ce-bf)/(ae-bd) = x, for example. I find the Vedic pattern of products easier to remember.

As with most math problems, there are many ways to solve it. You are probably taught methods of elimination and substitution. Graphing works, too. (See the image.)

-Dominant- [34]

The distance traveled by the center is equal to the distance traveled by the wheel 6.28m is traveled by the center.

Given: A wheel with a radius rolled in a straight line through one complete revolution on a flat horizontal surface.

To Find: How many meters did the center of the wheel travel horizontally from its starting location.

Solution:

consider the figure attached.

radius of wheel =1m

Horizontal distance traveled by the wheel in one complete revolution

=circumference of the wheel

\\=2\pi r\\=2*3.14*1\\=6.28m

Hence, the distance traveled by center is equal to the distance traveled by the wheel 6.28m is traveled by the center

Do men and women differ, on average, in terms of the amount of television that they watch each day? A researcher conducted a hyp
sashaice [31]

Answer: Two-sample t-test

Step-by-step explanation:

The Two-sample t-test is used to test the difference between two random and distinct population means. It help test whether the difference between the two populations is statistically significant.

In the case above the researcher wants to determine whether there is a difference in mean number of minutes of television viewing between men and women which makes it a Two-sample t-test.
