Answer: Animals will migrate to other places because they have less food and shelter.

Explanation:

According to the situation given, the forest area was cleared so as to make road. This will lead to disturbance in the forest ecosystem. The trees being the shelter and food source for animals will be cleared up and removed from the area. As a result of this the species of animal population will decline in number, migrate to new location or may get extinct.

g In pea plants, the allele for yellow seeds (Y) is dominant over the one for green seeds (y) and the allele for round seeds (R)
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer:

3/16

Explanation:

The P generation is said to gave homozygous yellow and round seeds; homozygous green and wrinkled seeds. Homozygous means that they have the same alleles for the trait.

For the P generation the cross would be:

YYRR x yyrr

This means that all offsprings in the first generation (F1) would have a genotype of:

YyRr

16/16

(Look at the Punnett attached to see this cross.)

The cross in the F1 generation would then be:

YyRr x YyRr

Now for yellow and wrinkled seeds to come out, the genotype should have at least one Y allele and a pair of r alleles. So the following genotypes is what you need to look out for:

Yyrr

YYrr

So if you will count it you will find:

Yyrr = 2/16

YYrr = 1/16

Just add them up to get the probability:

3/16

lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

23 pairs in meiosis 1 and 23 numbers in meiosis 2.

Explanation:

There are diploid number of chromosomes means double number of chromosomes at the end of meiosis 1 while on the other hand, at the end of meiosis 2, there are haploid number of chromosome means half number of chromosomes in each daughter cell. In humans meiosis 1, there are 23 pairs of chromosomes that is diploid in nature but in the end of meiosis 2, there are only 23 chromosomes in each daughter cell which is haploid in nature.

How does nature adaption of the flower to attract huminbirds for cross-pollination best support natural selection
Radda [10]
Plants release nectar which attracts birds to come and eat. As the bird eats the plant pollen (plant sperm) will get on the bird, and travel with it to other plants were the pollen will falls off and impregnates another plants due to plants having both female, and male bodies thus causing cross-pollination. This happen thru natural selection because the plants has nectar and pollen due them wanting to be able to spread and have more offsprings.

Does anyone know what the phenotype ratio is for all three of these are?
olasank [31]

2) The recessive genotype is ff; and the phenotype is short fur.

3) If you have a short fur hamster, the possible genotype is ff.

Phenotype Ratio of Punnett Square 1

short fur- 0; long fur- 4 so your ratio is 0:4

Phenotype Ratio of Punnett Square 2

short fur- 1; long fur- 3 so your ratio is 1:3

Phenotype Ratio of Punnett Square 3

short fur- 4; long fur- 0 so your ratio is 4:0

hopefully this helps and if you need any more help just ask me :)
