This nice sample from the tonto national monument, arizona, is hard stone now, but it once was soft sediment, and it records for

mation and "fossilization" of mud cracks. the light was shining along the arrow, as shown, making shadows, some of which are indicated by the arrows. is this sample upside-down (you are looking at the side of this sample that was down when the sediment was soft) or right-side up (you are looking at the side of this sample that was up when the sediment was soft)?

The answer is upside-down. Mud cracks spread downward keen on soft sediment. When more sediment is eroded in, this second layer will seal the cracks underneath. Later, after the layers have toughened, the rock may be rotated upside-down and then the layers cracked. If you see edges in a mud-crack pattern, you are seeing at the side of the second layer that initially was down. You can tell that this shows edges, and not holes, through the shadow, the edges have a well-lit on one side and a shadow on the other, while holes have light and shadow on the similar side.

emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

Following are the answer to the given points:

Explanation:

  • Unlinked - Nonrecombinant progeny (50%), recombinant progeny (50%)
  • Fully related genetics - 100% non-recombining genetic progeny (parental)
  • Incomplete connection of genes > 50% non-recombinant progeny < 50% crossover offspring. Connected genes

Mendel had established some essential concepts concerning inherited mechanisms such as the patterns of transmission of genes to offspring depending on their chromosomal placements. This same notion of linkage was offered to describe the pattern of the legacy of alleles on its chromosomal position.

Two different chromosomes have specific isoforms – for example, A and B which have two different features. As just a result, 50 percent of gametes are parental throughout type AB, and the other 50 percent of a recombinant in zygotes are quasi (aB & Ab) and 50 percent of the progenies that outcome from this mixture of gametes, therefore, are nonrecombinant in 50% and the cloned in 50 percent of the genetic makeup AaBb.

With two fully linked genes, e.g they exist on the very same chromosome and no cross-over occurs, all gametes are similar to parent types (AB and ab), like they do not split themself nor are diverse and culturally produced (nonrecombinants).

What properties of gamma rays make them useful in medicine? explain
otez555 [7]
The properties of gamma which paved its way to the area of medicine are having high energy of all the waves in the spectrum. With this they can penetrate into almost all surfaces. One application would be its use in killing cancer cells and to examine the internals of the body.
