Lincoln was against it and in all honesty, so was Douglas. Douglas knew however, that even if he did not agree with it completely, He had a better chance of winning. I believe that Douglas was okay with it to a certain point while Lincoln disagreed with the whole concept.

Lisa [10]

Answer:

1. Magna Carta

2. Bill of Rights

Explanation:

Magna Carta was signed at Runnymede in June 1215, under the King John of England. The purpose of the document is to give individuals and groups their rights and liberties accordingly. This is similar to the purpose of the Bill of Rights in the United States.

Hence, The MAGNA CARTA was signed in 1215 by King and the British barons. The king signed this document to prevent a civil war in Britain. The document put legal restraints on the king's authority. The American colonists borrowed the concept of BILL OF RIGHTS from this document.

Why do the shakespare contribute
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

Not only did Shakespeare teach us about ourselves and humanity, but he also invented around 1700 words that we still use in everyday English today. He often changed nouns into verbs, verbs into adjectives, connecting words together and coming up with wholly original ones too.

Shakespeare is responsible for inventing, popularizing, repurposing, and preserving thousands of common words in the English language. His playful usage of language included combining two words to make a new one, changing verbs into adjectives, changing nouns into verbs, and adding prefixes or suffixes to words.
