Declaring bankruptcy allows a consumer to clear any debts they have. It is like having a fresh start of clean slate. It also like a start over.

Within bankruptcy there is two known types.

The first is liquidation. That's where people cannot pay any of their obligations when it comes time to do so.

The second would be reorganization. Now, that is when you make arrangements to keep up with your repayments.

My teacher said the other day that when you declare bankruptcy your credit score plummets. I am not sure of how true that is but, I believe it.

I hope this helps!!
