answer: 360

Given:
Machine A Candy Packing
x(minutes)  y(candies)
  5               600
10             1200
15             1800
20             2400

Machine B : y = 150x

Find number of candies packed in 12 minutes.

Machine A : 600/5mins = 120 candies per minute
120 * 12 minutes = 1,440 candies

Machine B : y = 150x ⇒ y = 150(12) ⇒ y = 1,800

Machine B: 1,800
Machine A: 1,440
Difference      360

Machine B packed 360 more candies than Machine A in 12 minutes.

Write and solve the system of linear equations described by the application and then answer the question. One hundred sixty feet
Lena [83]

Answer:

80 ft x 40 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 'L' be the length of the longer side and 'W' be the length of the shorter side (or the width).

The equations that compose the linear system are:

L+2W=160\\L=2W

Solving the system:

L+L=160\\L=80\\W=\frac{L}{2}\\W=40

The garden is a rectangle with dimensions 80 ft x 40 ft.

If you used 3/4 of the blue paint to make flames on one of the cars, and need 7 3/4 pints of blue paint to paint another car, wh
ki77a [65]

3/4 of 7 pints were used. of, in this case, means to multiply. 3/4 x 7= 21/4= 5 and 1/4 pints. Now we subtract 5 and 1/4 (because this is how much was used) from 7. 7- 5 and 1/2 = 1 and 1/2
