Hey there,

Both x = 85 and y =are 80°.

1.) First off, the reason why there would be 80° would be because by looking at this angel, this angel is a obtuse angel. And also, it is also close to being a (right angel). And a right angel is 90°. So this is a clue that it would be around there.

2.) The area of this figure would be 300°.So in order to find the other angel's, we would have plug in both x =85 and also y=80.

Hope this helps.

see attachment: you have 2 triangles

red one has 2 given angles 40 and 30

40+30 = 70 so the 3rd angle needs to equal 180-70 = 110

part of that angle is 30 so x = 110-30 = 80

the yellow triangle has given angles of 35 and 30

35+30=65

3rd angle needs to equal 180-65 = 115

part of that angle is given as 30 so y = 115-30 = 85

that's how you actually find the answer.

it has nothing to do with area or that one angle is close to 90 or anything like that.

Step-by-step explanation:

if you can get 8 oranges for 10.40 then divide 10.40 by 8. you can get each orange for 1.3. you need to know how many oranges you can get for 33.8 so divide that by 1.3 and you get 26
