A good management plan for the islanders is to save tree population from extinction

Further explanation

The article describes the former abundance of trees and forests on easter island. Describe several factors that contributed to the extinction of trees on the island. Imagine that you arrived on the island before the tree populations were extinct, but after the tree populations had started to decline. Suggest a management plan that could have helped the easter islanders save the tree populations from extinction.

The Islander is needed the trees for firewood transportation, and it is moving the giant stone statutes. Due to the extinction of most animals on the island including birds, the trees pollination decreased greatly. A good management plan for the islanders to save tree population from extinction can be to use selective cutting and not cut down trees faster then they can grow, and not to not cut off all of the birds, so they can be used for pollination of seeds transportation.

1. One of the main reasons for the extinction of the trees in the Eastern Island is the extinction or sudden demise of the birds that carried the seeds to different places. Some of the human activities would have also led to the process of extinction, like the trees were being cut to construct canoes and to use as tools in order to erect statues, and to burn them for warmth.

2. There was a need to farm the trees and manage them in a proper framework. For example, if one is having 100 trees, then one should use 33 and then plant 33 seeds, and should always keep 34 intact. One should have not used all the trees at once.

Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

Moth populations should be monitored in both, normal wheat and engineered wheat

Explanation:

Genetically engineered wheat crop means that the genome of the wheat is being manipulated by the techniques of biotechnology. Gene for the resistance to moths is introduced into wheat in order for plant to become protected. Determination of resistance should be performed via monitoring of control group (normal wheat, not resistance to moth) and engineered wheat (potentially resistant) and their comparation. Moth population should be decreased in the resistance plants.
