3(-6+6x)=18

multiply the bracket by 3

(3)(-6)=-18

(3)(6x)=18x

-18+18x=18

move -18 to the other side

sign changes from -18 to +18

-18+18x+18=18+18

-18+18+18x=18+18 ( rearranging)

18x=36

divide both sides by 18 to get x by itself

18x/18=36/18

answer:

x=2

You multiply the 3 by -6 then multiply the 3 by 6 , one you get -18 and the other you 18x you change the -18 into a positive then add it by 18 in get 36 then you divide by 18x in get 2

To use a compass to find the midpoint of a line segment, Rebecca draws two arcs of equal radius from each of the two endpoints o
DiKsa [7]
We are given a line segment with two points on each end. Rebecca draws two arcs with equal radius from each point. Now, the intersection of the two arcs is the midpoint of the line. This can be explained by the radius of the arcs. Since they are equal, meaning they have the same distance from each point. Thus, the midpoint of the line.

What is the slope of a line that contains the points (2,2) and (4,4)
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

m = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope is defined as m = rise / run.

As we move from (2,2) to (4,4), x increases by 2 and y increases by 2.

Thus, the slope of this line is m = rise / run = 2/2 = 1:  m = 1
