They were to weak to enforce laws, this was their biggest weakness that they had practically. And because of this, they had no power to practically do anything. They were pretty much just a weak government. And when they wanted to go to war, they had to ask for money, and never did they pay it off. This really shows how bad they were in their own government.

How was early Indian culture influenced by religion and social structure?
lapo4ka [179]

The influence of religion and social structure on early Indian culture cannot be overemphasized. In the times of the Maurya and Gupta empires, the Indian culture was profoundly influenced by Hinduism, a religion that reinforced a strict social hierarchy called “caste system”. This made it virtually impossible for anyone to move outside of his or her social station. The emperors in fact, used Hinduism as a unifying religion and focused on Hinduism as a means for personal salvation.

What was the significance of Greenwood being nicknamed “The Black Wall Street”?
Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

the significance of Greenwood being nicknamed “The Black Wall Street” as B) it signified the financial success of the area

Explanation:

In the early 20th century, the present-day Greenwood Avenue was known as the Black Wall Street for its thriving economy, wholly propelled by the African American community. Under the Dawes Act, 1887 many African-Americans who were former slaves of tribes acquired land in this area. Others migrated to this area, which was now considered a haven for the black community, to escape racial oppression.

OW Gurley and JB Stradford are mainly credited to kick start the economic development of this place. Schools, hotels, furriers, posh restaurants, a library and other establishments of prosperity marked the streets of Greenwood.

New businesses cropped up with assistance from the affluent black community. This ensured that the money so created circulated first within the community. This made Greenwood entirely self-contained, reliant and an economic powerhouse and thus the name- Black Wall Street.

OWhich of the following statements most accurately describes the supremacy clause?
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

The Supremacy Clause states that the Constitution is above all state and federal laws.

Explanation:

The Supremacy Clause is located in the second clause of Article VI of the Constitution. It basically states that the Constitution of the United States, as well as the laws and treaties adopted by the federal government, constitute the supreme law of the nation. This means that the states of the United States are not sovereign but only the federal government, and that, as a last resort, it is always the authority of the Union which takes precedence over the constitution and the laws of each of the States of the Union.
