The Black Death inspired a lot of fear because it kills silently and indiscriminately. Since the plague comes from a type of bacteria, it can spread very easily from host to host. The disease is most commonly found in house rats. These house rats are often found in people's houses which made the disease even scarier. It spread throughout the entire world and killing off a huge number of people really fast. This is the terror of the black death.
