Because it challenged what people thought was true at the time and it scared them. Those in authority at the time wanted to silence anyone that supported change. A prime example of this was the persecution of Gelileo because he supported the idea of the Heliocentric Theory, or the theory that the sun is the center of the solar system rather than the Earth being the center.

Which was not a result of the baby boom that followed World War II? A. Businesses grew by selling things to teenagers. B. Workin
zavuch27 [327]

The correct alternative would be letter C.

Increasing health problems among men wasn't one of the results of the baby boom.

The increasing number of kids, helped businesses that sold products for teenagers grow, so alternative A is a result of the baby boom.

When couples were having more kids, it made sense for women to leave their jobs and stay at home with the kids, so alternative B could be a result of the baby boom.

As families grew, they needed more space. Thus, suburbs became an interesting option. This was also a result of the baby boom.

As we've seen with the previous alternatives, that leaves us with alternative C as the correct one, since increasing health problems among men have nothing to do with the baby boom.

Crank

United States, a 1915 U.S. Supreme Court decision that suggested that a pardon carries an imputation of guilt and that its acceptance carries a confession of guilt.
