The correct answer is A. to contemplate himself and the world.

Henry David Thoreau, the author of Walden, decided to leave society for two entire years, and spend them living in a cabin, surrounded by nature. He did this in order to find meaning, to locate his place in this world, and understand society better.

He didn't want to rely completely on nature - he believed society was still important, but he wanted to rely on nature more than on society. Earning money was never on his mind, and neither were social anxieties. What he did want to do was find a purpose in life, and see the beauty in simplicity.

An appositive phrase refers to a noun or a pronoun that identifies or rename another noun or pronoun; it gives more information about that noun or pronoun. An appositive together with its modifier is called an appositive phrase. An appositive phrase is said to be non- essential when it adds information to a sentence whose meaning is already clear. Non-essential appositives are usually set off by a coma.

In any experiment the part of the experiment that contains the variable is called the_______
Olin [163]

Answer:

Experimental or treatment group

Explanation:

In science, researchers use different variables to test the cause or effect of a specific treatment or phenomena. These variables could be dependent or independent.

In these experiments, the control group refers to a group that does not receive any type of treatment or, in other words, does not receive any variable. On the other hand, the experimental group receives the treatment or variables and is the one that would show the results.

These two groups - control and experimental - are subsequently compared.
