The meaning of a quadrilateral inscribed in a circle is that the angles on the opposite vertices are supplementary or in other words equals to 180 degrees.

On this exercise is asked you to find the measure in degrees of angle A. First of all, you have to find the value of x. To do this you have to select two angles on this case angles B and D.

m<B+m<D=180       Substitute the values of angles B and D
       148+x=180        Subtract 148 in both sides to isolate x
               x=32

Now that the value of x is known, you can substitute it into the expression representing angle A.

m<A=2x+1
m<A=2(32)+1
m<A=65

The measure of angle A is 65 degrees.

<B+<D = 180
x+148 = 180
x = 32

<A = 2(32) + 1
<A = 64+1
<A = 65

Hello,
answer D (-2,3)

Indeed
y=4x+11
y=-2x-1

==>4x+11=-2x-1
==>6x=-12
==>x=-2

And y=4*(-2)+11=3

Help for number 5 please
madam [21]
6i^4 = 6*1 = 6
6i^3 = 6*(-i) = -6i
-2i^2 = (-2)*(-1) = 2
sqrt(-49) = 7i

So, we have: 6 - 6i + 2 + 7i = 8 + i
The answer is D

a. The position of a particle is given by x(t) = t3 - 3t2 - 96 +1. For what values oft is the particle at rest?
natita [175]

Answer:

 t = 0 and t = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

It is at rest when the velocity = 0

The velocity is the 1st derivative

So, x'(t) = 3t^2 - 6t = 0

                3t(t - 2) = 0

                  t = 0 and t = 2
