Right now my class is learning about Egypt. Hieroglyphics represented over at least 300 letters. there were no vowels in there language. Hieroglyphics are depicted as pictures, which I believe is called "cuneiform" writing.

Hieroglyphics represent actions, objects or living things like people or animals. They use pictures to represent things a little differently than our words.
