Let's assume the values are proportional.

3 pencils/8 markers= x pencils/64 markers

8*8=64
3*8=24=x

Final answer: 24 pencils

How to solve

3sin^2x= cos^2x
DochEvi [55]

I'll try it.
I just went through this twice on scratch paper. The first time was to
see if I could do it, and the second time was because the first result
I got was ridiculous. But I think I got it.

You said                                                 3sin²(x) = cos²(x)

Use this trig identity:  sin²(x) = 1 - cos²(x)

                                   Plug it into the original equation for (x).

                                                     3(1 - cos²(x) )  =  cos²(x)

Remove parentheses on the left:    3 - 3cos²(x)  =  cos²(x)

Add  3cos²(x)  to each side:            3                  =  4cos²(x)

Divide each side by  4 :                  3/4  =  cos²(x)

Take the square root of each side:    cos(x) = (√3) / 2 .

There it is ... the cosine of the unknown angle.
Now you just go look it up in a book with a table cosines,
or else pinch it through your computer or your calculator,
or else just remember that you've learned that

                           cos( 30° )  =  (√3) / 2 .

louis makes a$15 [er hour working at the mall. which equation represents the total amout of money, d, louis makes in h hours?
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

15H = D

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Louis makes $ 15 per hour working at the mall, to determine which equation represents the total amout of money, D, Louis makes in H hours, the following calculation must be performed:

15H = D

So, for example, if Louis worked 10 hours, the equation would operate as follows:

15 x 10 = D

150 = D

Naily [24]

Answer:

8%

Step-by-step explanation:

Motivation to learn represents a 40% of the learning acquired and its rated from 1 to 10. An increase from 7 to 9 represents an increase (of motivation to learn of 20%) But since this quality represent 40% of the total, the real increase in learning is 0.2*0.4=0.08 or 8%.
