Answer:

Explanation:

Cation:

When an atom lose the electron positive charge is created on atom and atom is called cation.

Anion:

When an atom accept an electron negative charge is created on atom and it is called anion.

Electron have negative charge that's why when in loses from atom negative charge become less and positive charge is increased that's why atom when lose the electron have positive charge.

When atom accept the electron one more negative charge is created and anion is formed because of this negative charge.

When both anion and cations are combine ionic bond is formed.

For example:

sodium atom loses its one valance electron and form cation Na⁺ chlorine atom gain one electron and form anion Cl⁻. both combine to form sodium chloride through ionic bond.

You have 0.14 moles of sodium chloride (NaCl). How many grams do you have? ( 1 mole of NaCl = 58 grams NaCl) *
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

Option D is correct = 8.12 grams of NaCl

Explanation:

Given data:

Moles of sodium chloride = 0.14 mol

Mass of sodium chloride = ?

Solution:

Formula:

Number of moles = mass of NaCl / Molar mass of NaCl

Molar mass of NaCl = 58 g/mol

Now we will put the values in formula.

0.14 mol = Mass of NaCl / 58 g/mol

Mass of NaCl = 0.14 mol  ×  58 g/mol

Mass of NaCl = 8.12 g of NaCl

Thus, 0.14 moles of NaCl contain 8.12 g of NaCl.

In Part A, you found the amount of product (1.80 mol P2O5 ) formed from the given amount of phosphorus and excess oxygen. In Par
Finger [1]

First step is to balance the reaction equation. Hence we get P4 + 5 O2 => 2 P2O5

Second, we calculate the amounts we start with

P4: 112 g = 112 g/ 124 g/mol – 0.903 mol

O2: 112 g = 112 g / 32 g/mol = 3.5 mol

Lastly, we calculate the amount of P2O5 produced.

2.5 mol of O2 will react with 0.7 mol of P2O5 to produce 1.4 mol of P2O5.

This is 1.4 * (31*2 + 16*5) = 198.8 g
