Answer:

Less plants grow in deserts.

Explanation:

Areas that have more plants have more nutrients. Plants receive and give of nutrients when they die. So areas with little water and plants have little nutrients. Also the sun damages organic matters.

In deserts the availability of water is very low which limits the growth of plants there. Animal population is also very less in desert areas.  <em>Above all that the extreme heat of the desert destroys the less amount of organic matter formed. </em>
