Being parallel means by definition that the lines will never cross. That being said, the second line needs to be the same slope. The y-int won’t matter as long as it is not identical to the first equation.

y=mx+b

m is slope

So one possible answer is...

y= 3x -2
y= 3x +5
y= 3x + 7

All these lines are parallel with the same slope

Why do plasma particles have charges?
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

"Because the particles (electrons and ions) in a plasma have an electrical charge, the motions and behaviors of plasmas are affected by electrical and magnetic fields. ... Ions have a positive electrical charge because they have more positively charged protons than negatively charged electrons."

During a cold winter, the temperature stayed below zero for 10 days (ranging from −20 to −5). The variance of the temperatures o
Serjik [45]

Answer:

The variance of the temperatures of the 10 day period must be at least zero.

Step-by-step explanation:

The variance is the expectation of the squared deviation of a random variable from its mean. It measures how far a set of numbers are spread out from their average value.

Its unit of measure corresponding to the square of the unit of measure of the variable. In this case, the variance of the temperatures is expressed in (°C)². The variance has a minimum value of 0.

Since the variance is squared, it will always have values greater than zero.
