Answer:

The freshwater forms the most integral part of the water cycle. Out of the total water composition, there is roughly 2.5% of fresh water on the earth's surface. This includes the water that is present in the ice caps, glaciers, rivers, ponds, streams and lakes.

Some of these waters are directly obtained from the atmosphere in the form of rain, snow, and mist. Some are derived from the melting of the ice and glaciers present in the higher altitudes, that flows down during the summer season.

The freshwater is very important as all living beings are dependent on it. So it must be used in a limited way and should also be conserved.
