I really need help...can someone help me plz? A paper manufacturer is evaluating their packing procedures. Currently, they packa

ge twelve reams of paper in a box—in three stacks of four reams. However, their company has been getting complaints from the retail stores that the box is too large and heavy for the average consumer to carry by their self. So, they have decided to reduce the weight of each box by ten pounds. You have been asked to explore the different packing options based on the new weight condition and present your recommendation to the CEO of the paper company.
Questions:

1. Identify three unique ways to package the paper given the new weight condition. Include both the dimensions of the new boxes, as well as a verbal description of how the reams will be packaged. You may include sketches if you wish.

2. Calculate the volume of each box you described in the three ways to package the reams of paper. Are you surprised by the results? Why or why not?

3. Calculate the surface area of each box you described you configured. Are you surprised by the results? Why or why not?

4. Based on your results in the other parts, write a paragraph presenting your recommendation to the CEO of the paper manufacturing company. Use complete sentences and explain your reasoning.

Answer:

To reduce the weight by 10 lbs you need to remove two reams of paper, leaving you with 10 reams. The only way to fit these into a cuboid would be 5 stacks of 2, 2 stacks of 5, 1 stack of 10 or 10 stacks of 1. You need to figure out the dimensions of paper arranged like that then work out the surface area. Obviously 1 x 10 or 10 x 1 will be stupid because the box would be awkward to carry, so the correct answer will be whichever of the other two gives you the least surface area (and therefore requires the least packaging). I guess you also need to consider the relative orientations of the stacks - long end to long end or short end to short end. When filled, what is the weight of the paper in the current-sized box?_____pounds 10*5=50 lb

I might have not answered all parts of the question but I answered the ones I know (lol)

Hope that was helpful.Thank you!!!

10 A solid metallic cylinder of radius 14 cm and
vodomira [7]

Answer:

72 spheres are formed

Step-by-step explanation:

We start by calculating the volume of the metallic cylinder

Mathematically, we have this as;

V = pi * r^2 * h

V = pi * 21 * 14^2

V = 4116 π cm^3

The volume of each small sphere is;

V = 4/3 * pi * r^3

= 4/3 * π * 7/2^3 = 57.167 π cm^3

To get the number of small spheres, we simply divide the volumes

That will be 4116 pi / 57.167 pi = 72
