Hue is arranging chairs. She can form 6 rows of a given length with 1 chair left over, or 9 rows of that same length if she gets

14 more chairs. Complete the equation and solve it to find how many chairs are in that row length. In your equation, use the variable x to represent the number of chairs in each row.

x=given length

6x+1+14=9x

6x+15=9x

9x-6x=15

3x=145

x=15/3

x=5

6*5=30, 30+3=33

33+14=47 and 9*5=47

The answer is 5
