<h2>Hello</h2>

The answers are:

a) The name of the function is h, and it's an Exponential Function.

b) Independent variable : x , dependent variable : h(x)/y

c) The rule that assigns exactly one output to the very input is called "function".

d) h(3)=3^{3}-7=27-7=20

<h2> Why?</h2><h2 />

Usually, the name of a function (h(x)) is the letter that is out of the parentheses. For this  particular case,  the name of the function is "h", and it's an Exponential Function.

The independent variable of a function is the variable we assign the different values, so, for this case, the independent variable is designated with the letter "x".

The dependent variable is the function itself (h(x)), it's also called "y", it's called "dependent" variable because its values will always depend on the "independent variable".

A function is the rule that states that there is exactly one output (range value) to the very input (domain value).  A function only exists when there is exactly one output value (range) for each input (domain), if there is more than one output for each input, the function does not exist.

Evaluating a function consists of assign values to the independent variable(x), hence:

h(3)=3^{3}-7=27-7=20

A rectangle is constructed with its base on the x-axis and two of its vertices on the parabola y equals = 100 100 minus −x squa
masha68 [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a rectangle is constructed with its base on the x axis and two of its vertices on the parabola

y=100-x^2

This parabola has vertex at (0,100) and symmetrical about y axis.

Any general point above x axis can be written as (a,b) (-a,b) since symmetrical about yaxis.

Hence coordinates of any rectangle are

(a,0) (-a,0), (a, 100-a^2), (-a, 100-a^2)

Length of rectangle = 2a and width = 100-a^2

Area of rectangle = lw = 2a(100-a^2)=200a-400a^3

To find max area, use derivative test.

A' = 200-800a^2\\A"=-1600a

Hence maxima when first derivative =0

i.e. when a =2

Thus we find dimensions of the rectangle are l =4 and w = 96

Maximum area = 4(96) = 384

Is 1.32 a rational number or integer
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

A rational number.

Step-by-step explanation

A rational number is a ratio of whole numbers.

1/3 is the ratio of 1:3

3:1 becomes 3/1 = 3

32:10 can be written 32/10 or 16/5 or 3.2

16/5 is a rational number 16 and 5 are integers, 5 is not equal to 0.

Therefore, 3.2 which can be expressed as 16/5 is a rational number.

The area of a rectangular garden can be expressed as A = 2x^2 -x -6. The width of the garden is 2x+3. Find an expression for the
zalisa [80]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

2x² -x - 6 = 2x² - 4x + 3x - 3*2

              = 2x*(x - 2) + 3*(x - 2)

              = (x-2)(2x + 3)

A = 2x² -x - 6

A = (x - 2)(2x + 3)

length*width = (x - 2)(2x + 3)

length * (2x +3) = (x - 2)(2x + 3)

length=\frac{(x-2)(2x+3)}{(2x+3)}

length = x - 2
