<h2>Hello</h2>

The answers are:

a) The name of the function is h, and it's an Exponential Function.

b) Independent variable : x , dependent variable : h(x)/y

c) The rule that assigns exactly one output to the very input is called "function".

d) h(3)=3^{3}-7=27-7=20

<h2> Why?</h2><h2 />

Usually, the name of a function (h(x)) is the letter that is out of the parentheses. For this  particular case,  the name of the function is "h", and it's an Exponential Function.

The independent variable of a function is the variable we assign the different values, so, for this case, the independent variable is designated with the letter "x".

The dependent variable is the function itself (h(x)), it's also called "y", it's called "dependent" variable because its values will always depend on the "independent variable".

A function is the rule that states that there is exactly one output (range value) to the very input (domain value).  A function only exists when there is exactly one output value (range) for each input (domain), if there is more than one output for each input, the function does not exist.

Evaluating a function consists of assign values to the independent variable(x), hence:

h(3)=3^{3}-7=27-7=20

John works two jobs. A weekly pay stub from one job shows an earning of $235.23 and his second pay stub shows a monthly earning
cestrela7 [59]
Okay, there is 52 weeks in a year. So first the first job you want to use this equation to get the yearly income for job 1:

235.23*52= $12,231.96

Next, there is 12 months in a year. This means you then need to used the following equation to see yearly income for job 2:

935.40*12= $11,224.8

To find the yearly income of both jobs together, which gives you this:

12,231.96+11,224.8= $23,456.76

The angle of depression from a bird sitting on top of a telephone pole to the base of a tree is 63 degrees if the telephone pole
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

9.17 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

See the diagram attached to this answer.

Let, AB is the pole and CD is the tree.

From the top of the pole to the base of the tree the angle of depression as per the condition is 63°.

So, ∠ EBC = ∠ ACB = 63° {Since, BE ║ AC}

So, from Δ ABC, \tan 63 = \frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{18}{AC} {Given height of the tower AB = 18 feet}

⇒ AC = \frac{18}{\tan 63} = 9.17 feet.

Therefore, the distance between the pole and the tree is 9.17 feet. (Answer)
