The Justinian Code (also known as the Corpus Juris Civilis) was a code of law for everybody. it definitely replaced redundant and contradictory laws with a clear and consistent system and it helped united the diverse peoples of the Byzantine Empire under one uniform set of laws. It is still an influence for many law makers today.
