Actually, it is
pages left=total pages-pages read
pages read=(number of pages per hour) times (number of hours)
numbe rof pages per hour=40
x=number of hours
254=total pages
so
y=254-40x, not 4x

what is the question
if it is how many hours to read the book then
0=pages left
0=254-40x
add 40x to both sides
40x=254
divide by 40
x=6.35
6.35 days or aprox 7 days

equation is y=254-40x where y=pages left and x=number of hours read

Vanessa draws one side of equilateral ΔABC on the coordinate plane at points A(–2, 1) and B(4,1). What are the possible coordina
sukhopar [10]

Answer:

Possible C:

(1 , 1 + 3sqrt(3))

(1 , 1 - 3sqrt(3))

Step-by-step explanation:

AB = 6 units

Midpoint of AB is (1,1)

C would be at x = 1

So, (1,y)

(y-1)² + (1+2)² = 6²

(y-1)² = 36 - 9

(y-1)² = 27

y - 1 = 3sqrt(3)

y - 1 = -3sqrt(3)

y = 1 + 3sqrt(3)

y = 1 - 3sqrt(3)

Identify the terms of the expression 9a+4b-18
madreJ [45]

Hey there!

We may ask. What exactly is a term anyways.

Well, a term is a single number, a variable, or a number and a variable that would have to be multiply together. This is what a term would be.

Therefore, as we look above, we see the following equation.

9a+4b-18

18 is a term

4b is a term

9a is a term

This whole thing, would be called an expression, as this is expression something. Perhaps the amount of students who ate ice-cream at a football game, or something similar.

I hope you found this helpful! :)
