While Sexual Aversion is characterized by extreme avoidance, fear, or disgust involving genital contact. The symptoms of these two sexual disorders can be reduce using the interventions, affectual awareness and self-instruction training. 

Affectual awareness is a therapy where the patient visualizes sexual scenes for him/her to discover negative emotions like anxiety and vulnerability when it comes to sex.
