Calcium ions attach to calmodulin which then activate protein kinase. This occurs in the neuromuscular junction, specifically in the synaptic cleft, which is the space between the axon bulb and the sarcolemma. The protein kinase allows the fusion of synaptic vesicles. Acetylcholine reaches the muscle fibers and activates Sodium ions which innervate the muscles.

Vesnalui [34]

A circle is a closed curved shape that is flat. ... Instead of having all points the same distance from the center point, though, an ellipse is shaped so that when you add together the distances from two points inside the ellipse (called the foci) they always add up to the same number.

Which factors of Earth's position would contribute to long-term climate change?
vazorg [7]

Answer:

A) its elliptical orbit and tilt on its axis

Explanation:

Earth revolves around the sun in an elliptical path. Its axis is tilted to about 23.5° from the vertical.

These two factors determine the global climate on the Earth.

Due to elliptical orbit, the earth is sometimes closer to sun than the rest of the time. When it is closer the global temperature rises by 5 degrees. Due to the tilt of the Earth, seasons occur. The hemisphere which points towards the sun has summers where as which points away has winters.

Thus, the long-term climate change is effected by elliptical orbit and tilt of the axis.
