In which sentence is the underlined prepositional phrase an adjective phrase?
babymother [125]
Adjectival phrases modify nouns, which means that they usually stand next to a noun which they are describing. Having this in mind, the correct answer is B. A football game has four quarters of 15 minutes.
The prepositional phrase here is of 15 minutes, but it functions as an adjective phrase describing the noun quarters.
A is incorrect because the prepositional phrase acts as an adverbial phrase modifying the verb ends; C is incorrect because the prepositional phrase functions as an adverbial phrase modifying the verb supervised; D is incorrect because of the same reason - the phrase modifies the verb run.

Consider the following prompt for a Constructed Response on a test. Read it carefully and then read the answer choices carefully
choli [55]

Ive never read this book so if you decide to use my answer take caution you may get a low grade. But here is a stab at it.

Momaday decided to write in three voices to show the significance in his peoples history. He is proud and loves the history. This quote means that the "way to rainy mountain" may or may not be a false tale. It is slowly being destroyed over time, and the remnants of this is only a falsehood. The idea of this though, is a miracle because it is still important and whole.
