In the war of 1812 the United States confronted the United Kingdom and it´s Canadian colonies. Which of the following best describes trench warfare? A It was a brutal, sluggish, horrific affair. B It was a war of mobility a
Phoenix [80]
"A" is quite correct, though "C" adds a bit more detail of how soldiers felt about Trench Warfare. In my honest opinion, I think "D" is the correct answer.

Trench Warfare was rather horrific, and brutal to say the least -- it was also "boring" during stalemates if neither party was engaging in any sort of push.

Note: I'm not a teacher of any sorts! This is just my opinion from things I've learned in the previous years.

What is a desert?
murzikaleks [220]
A desert is an area that receives very little precipitation - c.

Deserts are mostly areas with sand, as is popularly considered, but it's not only sand that is problematic, it is also the fact that these areas receive very little precipitation (rain) which poses more of a problem.

NemiM [27]

Answer:

The United States gained international respect

Explanation:

The given quote by Treasury Albert reflects a revised sense of American nationalism that was fading after the Declaration of Independence in the previous decade. America and Britain had a strained relationship since then and were continuously fighting for the dominance of the continent.

The war of 1812 impacted a great loss on the side of America including economic fallout, deaths, burning of Capitol and many other public buildings. However, America could resist the colonizers at Atlantic coast and eventually signing of a peace treaty.

America was united for the first time against a foreign power as both the Republicans and Federalists joined to defend national interests gaining International respect.

What 2 nations isolated themselves during the age of exploration?
gayaneshka [121]
I'm pretty sure China is one of the countries that isolated themselves during the age of exploration because they believed that they were more superior than other countries and they didn't want to associate with anyone else.  I'm not sure what the second country is though. Sorry.
