There are 60 minutes in 1 hour, therefore, if the car has a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, that simply means, 60 kilometers per 60 minutes.

now, if the car covers 60 kilometers in 60 minutes, that means in 1 minute, it covers 1 kilometer.

now, if we want to cover every kilometer, not in 1 minute, but half-minute faster than that, that means 1 - 1/2, or 1/2 minute, so, what speed is needed to cover 1 kilometer in just half-minute then?

well, you just need to increase your kilometer per minute from 1 minute, to 1/2, that is , 1 kilometer per 0.5 minutes.

if you can cover 1 kilometer in 0.5 minutes, how many can you cover in 60 minutes or 1 hour?  in 1 minute you can cover  2 kilometers at that speed, in 60 minutes then, you can cover 120 kilometers, twice as many.

120 km/h.

a joined figure with a half circle with a radius of 3ft and a triangle with a base of 6ft and a height of 7ft. The total area is
vovangra [49]

While it says they are joined, we will have to solve them as seperate shapes then add the area at the end.

Since we have a half circle and a triangle, the formulas for the areas are as follows

Half-Circle

it is the regular circle formula, but divided by 2, since it is half the size of a regular circle

(pi*r^2)/2

Triangle

it is the formula for the area of a triangle, being base times height divided by 2

(b*h)/2

Plug in the numbers into the appropriate variables, then add. you should get a total area of 49.274 ft^2. Then you just multiply the final area by the $1.50 to get the cost of the mini gold course.

               6 + 4 ÷ 2

The "order of operations" (which you learned a long time ago
if you're in high school now) says that division should be done
before addition.

So do the division:        4 ÷ 2 = 2

Now you have                6 + 2

Now do the addition:     6 + 2 = 8 .
