Answer:

The thesis is the roadmap of your essay, so focus on succinctly but thoroughly defining the stance and purpose of your essay. Make sure you incorporate your main points/contentions without making it too obvious. Start with the question/problem, state your stance, and then very very briefly state your main reasons. Make sure this is all in one sentence and is the last sentence of your introductory paragraph.

Answer:

Answer the question in your prompt with your supporting details.

Explanation:

Let's say the teacher's prompt is , "Do you agree TikTok is a good app?" Lets say your three main points are it is a good way to connect with friends, stress-relieving, and a good platform for all people. These three focal points (each individually) would be each a topic for your body paragraphs. Your thesis would be:

I agree TikTok is a good app because it is a good way to connect with friends, stress-relieving, and a good platform for all people.

It's that simple!

I suggest making an outline if you haven't already it helps t know your body paragraph topics.

Which phrase can be used to describe author's purpose in an argument?
Bond [772]

Answer:

Prove a position

Explanation:

An author's purpose in an argument is to "prove a position." In order to do this, he tries to persuade the readers by providing evidence which supports his claim or position. It makes his stance clear by providing statements that will support his point-of-view. This is often used in "controversial issues."

So, this explains the answer.
