Answer: British

Explanation:

Hi, the battle for taking control of Fort Ticonderoga took place on July 8, 1758, one of the bloodiest conflicts of the French and Indian War, and a major defeat for the British. It was fought at Fort Carillon (later renamed Fort Ticonderoga) on the shores of the southern tip of Lake Champlain on the border of New York and Vermont.

British forces and their American allies totaled some 15,000–16,000 men, the French army comprised a mere 3,600.

The Battle of Ticonderoga was a humiliating defeat for Britain.
