The correct answer is B. Rocky intertidal.

Explanation

Adaptation to the environment is a term used to refer to the different means that organisms use to adapt to and survive in an environment. For example, humans have developed different means to adapt to the different climatic and environmental characteristics of the world. In the case of the glue secreted by algae and barnacles, it can be said that it is a means of adaptation to rocky intertidal environments, in which the glue is useful for sticking to the rocks of this medium and establishing itself where they find favorable conditions for their life. So, the correct answer is B. rocky intertidal

suggest and explain how the flow of blood in a person with patent ductus arteriosus differs from that of a person with a healthy
iren2701 [21]
Ductus Arteriosus is a blood vessel normally present in fetuses during development. The blood vessel is designed to bypass the pulmonary artery and brings blood to the Descending Aorta, as the fetus cannot breath through the lung (being as they are fluid filled). This is normally not a problem because oxygenated blood comes from the mother's blood supply.

Patent Ductus Arteriosus, is what happens when that vessel does not close. While not as dangerous as other congenital defects. However, because there is still a bypass, blood that normally need to be oxygenated by going through the pulmonary arteries to the lungs, can be diverted and placed into the blood stream without vital oxygen. This condition may eventually lead to CHF (congestive Heart Failure) and Pulmonary Hypertension if not treated.

How does resource partitioning help two simular species coexist?
klemol [59]
Research partitioning is an adaptive evolution that when species are have similar preys, they compete with each other and one species is deemed to extinct in the process however if two species are of different preys, then they can exist with one another. To exist with one another, organisms belonging to a same species either compete for the resources or divide it amongst themselves. This concept is important because it helps in diversified ecology, where animals and plants of the same species co-exist and creates a beauty with nature.
