So the length will be 18^2-4^2 all rooted. 18 square is 324 and 4 square is 16 and 324-16 is 308 so the answer will be the root of 308 or 2 root 77, at least that is what I think.

Answer:

The length is 17.6 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a right triangle with a leg of 4 units and of hypotenuse 18 units.

we have to find the length of other leg.

Using Pythagoras theorem;

Hypotenuse^2=Base^2+Height^2

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 18 units, and one of the leg is 4 units.

Let x be the other leg which we have to find out.

Substitute these in above formula we have;

⇒ 18^2=4^2+x^2

⇒ x^2=324-16=308

⇒ x=\sqrt{308}=17.5499\sim 17.6 units

Therefore, the other leg of the right triangle is 17.6 units.

out of of are 40 students, 15 are on the student council. what percent of the students are NOT on the student council?
saw5 [17]

40-15=25 students not on student council

25/40 = .625 decimal

multiply by 100 to get percent

62.5% of students are not on student council

Estimating:

15 rounds to 20 and 40 rounds to 50

40% are in student council and that leaves roughly 60% not in student council.
