During the Cultural Revolution, Mao closed down all schools and appealed to the youth to help spread his communist ideas. There were confrontations between Mao’s Red Guards and local police, thus threatening another civil war. The Red Guards started oppressing the intellectuals, who were believed to hold anti-communist views. After Mao, Deng Xiaoping came to power and started focusing on agriculture. He put an end to farmer co-ops. Farmers began cultivating land privately, and agricultural profits increased. Job opportunities increased and people started migrating from rural areas to cities. HOPE THIS HELPS XO, MARK ME BRAINLIEST!
The military and political prowess of the King of Qin
The First Emperor was a brilliant at political strategy and the consolidation of power. He was also a strong military leader whose methods included massacre which led to his success at unifying the states
John Locke had a huge effect on the Founding Fathers of the United States of America and therefore he was a huge part in the writing of the Constitution. His ideas in the Second Treatise of Government and the Social Contract emphasized his idea that the people give up certain freedoms to a government in exchange for protection from others. His idea, "Where there is no law, there is no freedom" is his way of saying that if you don't have laws, then everyone can do what they want. If everyone does what they want then freedom is non-existent. For example: Say you have a car. If there was no such thing as laws, someone could come and take that car from you.
Hope this helps! (:
