PLEASE HELP<br><br> Which theory of development do you prefer: Piaget or Erikson's stages? Why?
djverab [1.8K]

I prefer Erikson´s stages theory because he mantained that personality develops through 8 psychosocial stages from infancy to adulthood. During each stage, a person experiences a psychosocial crisis which may have negative or positive outcomes for personality.

These crises are of psychosocial nature because they involve psychological needs of the individual conflicting with society needs. The better one person moves on from a crisis, it is easier to resolve future crises.  Not being able to complete a stage in a successful way can lead to a reduced ability to complete further stages and as a result of that, having an unhealthy personality. However, there are ways to resolve those stages at an older age.

To conclude, based on Erikson’s thinking or theory, psychology has reconceptualized how the later periods of a person´s life are viewed. Thanks to Erikson, middle and late adulthood are no longer seen as irrelevant, they are considered active and significant times of personal growth.

<em><u>The eight stages are:</u></em>

1.Trust vs. Mistrust: value

2.Autonomy vs. Shame: Will

3.Initiative vs. Guilt: Purpose

4.Industry vs. Inferiority: Competency

5.Identity vs. Role Confusion: Fidelity

6.Intimacy vs. Isolation: Love

7.Generativity vs. Stagnation: Care

8.Ego Integrity vs. Despair: Wisdom

To conclude, based on Erikson’s ideas, psychology has reconceptualized how the later periods of a person´s life are viewed. Thanks to Erikson, middle and late adulthood are no longer seen as irrelevant, they are considered active and significant times of personal growth

4 end of sentence punctuation marks and capital letters
sleet_krkn [62]
Add a question mark after “How’re things with you”

Change the w to a capital W in “What an achievement”

Add an exclamation mark after “What an achievement”

Add a question mark after “We’d agreed to meet at Zuzzi’s at 8:30pm on the 25th, hadn’t we”

Why make these changes? Well, for the first change, we would add a question mark because Davina is being asked how things are with her. By not adding a question mark, this sentence conflicts with the next one. In the second change, we would change the w to a capital W because the last sentence ended with a period, meaning the W is the first letter of the next transitioning sentence and would therefore require capitalization. In the third change, we would add an exclamation mark because Davina is being congratulated on her new job position. Although it would make sense to add a period, it would also make the sentence appear a bit shady or envious. In the fourth change, a question mark is needed because Davina is being asked a question for confirmation of where she and her friend had planned to meet. If you need to better understand, let me know and I will gladly assist you!

PLEASE HELP ME
Advocard [28]

Answer:

B. Unless Christine finishes her calculus homework, she will have to suffer  Mr. Nguyen's wrath in class tomorrow.

Explanation:

In the given sentences, the main errors to be focused on will be the use of punctuation, the commas, and the construction of the sentences. This will enable us to easily identify which sentence is the right one.

Looking at the sentence, the first part of it starts with a subordinating conjunction, thus making it a dependent clause. And as understood, dependent clauses cannot stand on their own as a complete or full sentence, they need an independent clause to be completed. Thus comes the second part of the sentence which is an independent clause.

Thus, when a dependent clause and an independent clause are together, and the dependent clause starts the sentence, then the separation of the two clauses is done by a comma. In this case, the comma will come in between "homework" and "she".

The final sentence will become

<em>"Unless Christine finishes her calculus homework, she will have to suffer Mr. Nguyen's wrath in class tomorrow."</em>

Thus, the correct answer is option B.
