If she has $2.30 yes she can buy pencils that cost $.49.

$.49 + $.49 = $.98 + $.49 = $1.47 + $.49 = $1.96.

She can only buy 4 pencils because if we added another $.49 that will equal $2.45 and she doesn't have enough money for that.

There is a shorter method which is:
$2.30 / $.49 = giving an answer of 4.69.
and although that would round up to 5.
She doesn't have enough money so we round it down to 4.

Giving us an answer that she can only buy 4 pencils.

Well 2.3 divided by 0.49 equals
About 4.69, and you can't but part of a pencil so the answer is
She can buy 4 pencils.

Factor p^2−6−q·(p^2−6)^2
Olenka [21]

Answer:

(p^2−6) (1-q(p^2-6))

Step-by-step explanation:

p^2−6−q·(p^2−6)^2

Put parentheses around the P^2-6 at the beginning of the expression

(p^2-6) -q (p^2−6)^2

Factor out (p^2−6)

(p^2−6) (1-q(p^2-6))

Find a closed-form solution to the integral equation y(x) = 3 + Z x e dt ty(t) , x > 0. In other words, express y(x) as a fun
MrMuchimi

Answer:

y{x} = \sqrt{7+2Inx}

Step-by-step explanation:

y(x)= 3 + \int\limits^x_e {dx}/ \, ty(t) , x>0}

Let say; By y(x)= y(e)

we have;

y(e)= 3 + \int\limits^e_e {dt}/ \, ty= 3+0

Using Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and differentiating by Lebiniz Rule:

y^{1} (x) = 0 + 1/ xy

y^{1} = 1/xy

dy/dx = 1/xy

\int\limits {y} \, dxy = \int\limits \, dx/x

y^{2}/2 Inx + C

RECALL: y(e) = 3

(3)^{2} / 2 = In (e) + C

\frac{9}{2} =In(e)+C

\frac{9}{2} - 1 = C

\frac{7}{2} = C

y^{2} / 2 = In x +C

y^{2} / 2 = In x +7/2

MULTIPLYING BOTH SIDE BY 2 , TO ELIMINATE THE DENOMINATOR, WE HAVE;

y^{2} = {7+2Inx}

y{x} = \sqrt{7+2Inx}

In ΔWXY, x = 680 inches, w = 900 inches and ∠W=157°. Find all possible values of ∠X, to the nearest degree.
ikadub [295]

Given:

In ΔWXY, x = 680 inches, w = 900 inches and ∠W=157°.

To find:

The all possible values of ∠X, to the nearest degree.

Solution:

Law of Sines:

\dfrac{a}{\sin A}=\dfrac{b}{\sin B}=\dfrac{c}{\sin C}

For ΔWXY,

\dfrac{w}{\sin W}=\dfrac{x}{\sin X}=\dfrac{y}{\sin Y}

Now,

\dfrac{w}{\sin W}=\dfrac{x}{\sin X}

\dfrac{900}{\sin (157^\circ)}=\dfrac{680}{\sin X}

900\sin X=680\sin (157^\circ)

\sin X=\dfrac{680}{900}\sin (157^\circ)

\sin X=0.295219

X=\sin^{-1}(0.295219)

X=17.17067

X\approx 17

Therefore, the value of ∠X is 17 degrees.
