Unit rate is how many units of work can you do in 1 unit of time

3 and 3/5=3+3/5=15/5+3/5=18/5

(18/5mi)/40mins
divide by 40
aka times 1/40
(18/5)(1/40)=18/200=9/100=0.9/10=0.09/1
0.09 miles per minute
