One must look know their exponent rules... one rule states that when dividing two exponents, you subtract the divisor from the dividend.

Therefore...

Here, Expression: y⁴ / y

Now, subtract the exponential of numerator from denominator's

So, = y⁴⁻¹ = y³

In short, Your Answer would be: y³

Please help !
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

New line =3*ZX

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that the isosceles trapezoid is dilated using a scale factor of 1/3

and a line is drawn through the center of the new dilated figure, so

let us suppose that line is EF which is drawn and it will also pass through

the center in similar way the line ZX passes through so after considering this situation, we can come to this point

\text{new Line EF}=\frac{ZX}{1/3} \\EF=3*ZX

so new line will be 3 times longer than ZX.

Point L (5, -4) is reflected across the line y = -x using the transformation rule (x, y) --> (-y, -x). What is the ordered pa
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

L (4,-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The transformation rule is (x,y) → (-y,-x) . This means that you are going to exchange your x and y and switch their signs.

1. Exchange - First you switch your points. (5,-4) → (-4,5)

2. Switch signs- -4 converts to 4 and 5 converts to -5

So your answer is L' (4,-5)

a quantity of ethanol is cooled from 47.9° C to 12.3°C and releases 3.12 KJ of heat. what is the mass of the ethanol sample?
victus00 [196]

Answer:

35.9 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

We use the formula:

q=m*C_p*\Delta T

Where

q is heat released

m is mass

C_p is the constant 2.44

ΔT is change in temperature

We put the info in the formula and solve for m (mass):

q=m*C_p*\Delta T\\-3.12 =  m*2.44(12.3-47.9)\\-3.12*10^3=m*(-86.864)\\m=35.9

The mass of ethanol is 35.9 grams

Graph 7x-4y=-8 and x+2y=-14
alexdok [17]
First find value of x and y by substitution or any method the we can plot the vertices in graph if you need more values in graph then suppose x any number and you will get y if x=0 then 7*0-4y=-8 and get y
