Incomplete dominance occurs when two individuals with different phenotypes produce an individual with an intermediate phenotype between these two. In the case of snapdragon flowers, a plant with white flowers has the alleles $C^{w}C^{w}$, dominant for the white color, and $C^{r}C^{r}$, dominant for the red color. The offspring of these two individuals will has the alleles $C^{w}C^{r}$, that will not follow a classical Mendelian inheritance pattern, but instead will express a totally different phenotype from the parent phenotype, intermediate between white and red (ie pink).
