What term refers to the idea that society has limited resources and therefore cannot produce all the goods and services people w
maksim [4K]
The correct answer is scarcity.

Scarcity refers to when certain goods or resources are not able to be produced in a quantity that is sufficient enough to meet people's demands. For instance, let's assume that every summer, a certain state's  markets sell mangoes that are high in demand by customers. However, one year, most mango trees are unable to yield mangoes due to unfavorable weather. Due to this only very few mangoes are sold to customers and there are not enough to meet customers' demands. This means that there is a scarcity of mangoes.

What geographic barriers were there for the immigrants coming to California?
Alex73 [517]

Answer: The geographical barriers they faced are the great plains, the rocky mountains and the Sierra Nevada.

Explanation:

After California's annexation in 1848 to the United States of America, and the discovery of gold in the region the same year, many colonists undertook the difficult journey of reaching California.

The colonists who wanted to reach Californía first had to cross the great plain, there it was difficult to find food or hunt, therefore, they had to bring their food. They were also attacked by Indian tribes or suffered from a lack of water. Then, they had to cross the Appalachians, and later the Sierra Nevada.

This led to a high level of mortality among settlers who succumb to the terrain, starvation, disease, or attack by American Indians.

spin [16.1K]

Answer:

The correct answer is: a) neuroticism

Explanation:

The Big Five Personality Traits include: openness (to experience), conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.

The last one - neuroticism - is related to emotional stability/instability and refers to the experience of negative emotions such as depression, anger or anxiety and is associated to low tolerance to stress. Those who score high in this personality trait are usually emotionally reactive and negative emotions are persistent in their daily moods.

Sudie's description refers to an unemotional, even-tempered person, which represents the opposite to the trait of neuroticism.
