Governments in the southern colonies were often considered oligarchies. what is an oligarchy?
lara31 [8.8K]
Oligarchy comes from the greek word "oligos" which means " a few" and the word "archos" which means "to Govern", so it is a government system where all the power is gathered by a small group of people, usually richest families in the city or country, it isn´t seen as an open democracy because not only they run the destinities of the country but also develop and create the rules, the law, and manage all the system. Back then we also could find that power in the hands of the oldest men in the country who controlled everything and had a lot of economic power.

In chickens, having feathers on legs is dominant to having featherless legs. In a population of 200 chickens, 128 have featherle
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

Number of heterozygous population 64

Explanation:

Given data:

Total population of chicken 200

Number of chicken having  featherless legs 128, that represent q2 (as they are homozygous recessive)

Total number of chickens = 200

Therefore, the value of q^2 = \frac{128}{200} = 0.64

q^2 = 0.64

so q = 0.8, and

p = 1 - q

   = 1 - 0.8 = 0.2

The frequency of2pq = 2 \times 0.8 \times 0.2 = 0.32

Therefore, Number of heterozygous population= 0.32 \times 200 = 64

ASAP !!!25!!! POINTS Choose two (2) of the people who worked for the Underground Railroad, describe two (2) important details of
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

The Underground Railroad had many notable participants, including John Fairfield in Ohio, the son of a slave holding family, who made many daring rescues, Levi Coffin, a Quaker who assisted more than 3,000 slaves, and Harriet Tubman, who made 19 trips into the South and escorted over 300 slaves to freedom. The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early to mid-19th century, and used by enslaved African-Americans to escape into free states and Canada. The scheme was assisted by abolitionists and others sympathetic to the cause of the escapees.

Harriet Tubman, perhaps the most well-known conductor of the Underground Railroad, helped hundreds of runaway slaves escape to freedom. She never lost one of them along the way. As a fugitive slave herself, she was helped along the Underground Railroad by another famous conductor… William Still.
