Use the following identities:
r^2 = x^2 + y^2 \\  \\ x = r cos(\alpha) \\  \\ y = r sin(\alpha)

First sub for cos:
r = -2(\frac{x}{r}) \\  \\ r^2 = -2x

Now sub for r^2
x^2 + y^2 = -2x
It is now in rectangular form, however, it can be simplified to model a circle equation.

x^2 + 2x + y^2 = 0 \\  \\ x^2 + 2x+1 + y^2 = 1 \\  \\ (x+1)^2 + y^2 = 1

Please help me I would also like an explanation
Tasya [4]

Answer:

k = 45*

2k = 90*

Step-by-step explanation:

K will be the same as the 45* degrees, as it is across from it.

2k is twice k, which is 90*.

45* + 45* + 90* = 180*

Good luck!

What is the constant of proportionality in the equation y=2xy
dybincka [34]

Answer:

2 is the constant of proportionality in the equation y = 2x .

Step-by-step explanation:

Definition of constant of proportionality

When two variables are directly proportional to each others .

Let us assume that u and v .

u \propto vu∝v

Than the equation becomes u= kv

Where k is called the constant of proportionality .

Thus in the question x and y are proportional variables .

i.e

y \propto xy∝x

y = kx

Where k is called the constant of proportionality .

Compare the equation y = kx with y=2x .

Thus

k = 2

Therefore 2 is the constant of proportionality in the equation y = 2x

Answer:

The m<LMN and m< NMP are 125 because when two lines are cut by a transversal, corresponding angles are congruent.

Step-by-step explanation:

So both the m<LMN and m<NMP are congruent so you just need to set 5x equal to 3x+50.
